content store cleaner job

Can we stop / disable (is it safe) the content store cleaner job,
this thread is running for a long time.

Yes, you can disable it; you will have orphaned content left over.  What version are you running?

Hi Derek,

We are using Alfresco 2.1.1. Please let us know how to disable it. Also we see frequent heap space errors every week (specifically on Monday). Does it have anything to do with configuration, presently we have configured JVM to 2 GB.
