Hi,
I am a newbie to alfresco.
I have installed Alfresco Community Edition Successfully.
My req are that is to store my content in a structured manner and retrieve them accordingly.
I logged in as an admin. I created workspaces and uploaded the content into it.
Now I want to retrieve the content from the repository as files with specified workspace traversing.

I want the physical file location. Who can I get this? How to traverse the workspaces? Does Alfresco API expose API for it??

You don't need access to the physical files (and in fact we'd recommend you stay away from them unless you're looking for database synchronisation problems).

Instead, Alfresco provides FTP, WebDAV and CIFS interfaces which you can use to get to your content.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi MikeH,
Thanx Mike for the quick reply. I have a ecosystem that needs to fetch the content from Alfresco.

I m using alfresco to store the content in a schema. Later the ecosystem has to look into Alfresco to fetch the content from the schema. The content I am trying to fetch needs to be in a file. Can you suggest how to customize this??

I'm not sure what else there is to say..?
