Content Model Depth

Hi All,

What is the safe depth limit for content type in Alfresco without impacting the performace?

In other ECM products, if we go beyond 3 levels from the OOTB Content Model then we may have some performance issues but would like to know the same in alfresco.

There's no limit.

However the "rule of thumb" of three is a good one for content modeling reasons.    Any more depth may indicate that your base classes are too specialised and therefore be hard to understand and maintain.

A good rule of thumb is abstract thing, general purpose thing, specialised thing.
