My company is about to buy a process management tool. I was experiencing Activiti for few weeks then I tried to use Eclipse Stardust. I really like the way of Eclipse Stardust but when I presented it, it really looked so complex. The web user interface and process modelling tool is just complicated for simple user and my company thinks that nobody even the IT cannot takeover this project if I left the company. Furthermore, they asked me if I can make dynamic applications like, consider vacation request and the system should have all information of the users and whenever a user wants to make request system should check whether if he has enough holiday or not. You derive these kind of features. It is surely out of standard features of Activiti and needs further programming skills.
All in all, I love open source but It is just too risky to take this task over me because I know little bit Python and have very very little Java knowledge. My question is; are there any companies who offers service for Activiti? I couldn't be sure if the contributor companies give this kind of services or not.
