Hello,

I am not able to connect to our Alfresco community server using the alfresco app. My details are:
Server port: 443
Service URL: /alfresco

The error message is "Your service url value is incorrect. Please check your account settings."

When I login to alfresco via a browser, this is the site I am redirected to: https://alfresco.roullier.com/alfresco/faces/jsp/dialog/container.jsp

Is there any min-Version required?

Your service URL is /alfresco/service/cmis

Try that and if it doesn't work, reply with your specific Alfresco server version and your specific client version.

Also, confirm that you can go to the browser on your mobile device and successfully log in to https://alfresco.roullier.com:443/share using the same username and password you are configuring in the Alfresco app.

Jeff

Thank you for your response. We are using v3.0.0

When I am visiting https://alfresco.roullier.com:443/share I get HTTP Status 404 - /alfresco/share. The requested source is not available. So it seems as there is a redirect from /share to /alfresco/share

Hi Jeff
I'm having a similar issue. When connecting using https I receive Connection Error "Your Service URL is incorrect" I'm running Alfresco community 4.2d using apache proxy to connect with https and a temporally commercial certificate before I was able to connect using any IOS device but since last 3 weeks after an update I can't and with Android I never been able to connect using https. All this problems are only when connecting with https if I use http no problems at all.
My settings:
hostname: mycompany.com
HTTPS Enabled
Port: 7443 (Changed this on the alfresco-global.properties file)
Service URL: /alfresco/service/cmis
Could you please advise
Thanks and Regards,

Hi

Please note that the Alfresco Mobile apps (you don't state whether you're using iOS or Android) require Alfresco v3.4.8 or newer.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike

We've had some issues with the last update to the mobile app running against Alfresco community version 3.4d. You mentioned that the app requires Alfresco v3.4.8 or newer. Looking at previous releases, it seems 3.4d was the last in the 3.x series, followed by a jump to 4.0a in the community editions. Could you please confirm whether the latest app (build 1.5.1.87) supports 3.4d?

Thanks

Hi,
I think I have the same problem, can you hel me with this???

———
Hi,
I don't know how to connect my Alfresco Android app.
I see in app:
1. Username
2. Password
3. Hostname
4. Description
5. HTTPS
6. Port
7. Service URL

I'm sure that 1 an 2 are OK.
In the followings I put:
hostname: http://hostname:8080 (mistake???)
description: nothing (is optional)
HTTPS: I tried with yes and no check
Port: by default (mistake???)
Service URL: I tried /alfresco and /share

Can someone write a step by step about this???

I am in the same internet connection. If I were in another one, will it be the same step by step???
Thanks

In your case,

- hostname is just the hostname, i.e. server.alfresco.com. No "http" and no "8080" port

- HTTPS is per your connection details - depends if you have this configured or not. Try with it off initially

- Port is 8080 - the default Tomcat port. Usually 8443 or 443 if you do have HTTPS enabled.

- Service URL is /alfresco

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks a lot, MikeH,
I have Alfresco installed on my computer (at home, not professional use).
Could hostname be just 127.0.0.1???
When I star Alfresco, that is my URL access: http://127.0.0.1:8080/share/page/

[user: admin; password: admin; Hostname: 127.0.0.1; Port: 8080; Service URL: /alfresco]
and my error: "Your server couldn't be reached. Please check your account settings"

Tranks again

127.0.0.1 is known as the loopback IP address, so the mobile device is trying to connect to itself!

You need the ip address of your computer. Usually starting with 192.168.x.x or 10.1.x.x depending on your LAN configuration.
