Connecting existing SharePoint

Is there way to connect to existing Sharpoint 2007 installation? I would like to fetch some documents from MOSS to Alfresco.

Earlier this year Alfresco held a webinar about migration from Sharepoint 2003 to Alfresco, I don't know if you could find anything useful there:

Well then you will need to work out what interfaces you can use to connect to SharePoint.      You are asking the wrong forum for information.
