Is it possible to define how informations from a custom aspect will be displayed on screen ? Say I have a long information to display that would better fit a text area than a text field.
There is an outstanding improvement request for this functionality (http://www.alfresco.org/jira/browse/AWC-99), which will allow you to specify that arbitary properties should use a certain input control.
I'm hoping this gets in the release due to go out at the end of the month.
