Configuring SharePoint Protocol

All,

I am fairly new to Alfresco and am trying to configure the Alfresco Protocol to work with Office 2007.

I have configured the custom.vti.properties file to say the following after installing the vti amp:

vti.server.port=7070
vti.alfresco.deployment.context=http://25.165.1.148:7070/alfresco
vti.share.shareHostWithPort=http://25.165.1.148:8080

I am using office 2007 and keep getting the following error when I try to create a Workspace.

"The action could not be completed. For more information, contact your site administrator, or try again later,"

Has anyone any ideas on what I might be doing wrong.

Gerald

It is a bit confusing, I admit. They were initially raised on Community (hence the ALFCOM prefix), however they didn't make the 3.2 Community release. They should all be merged to HEAD eventually however.

Thanks,
Mike

As stated in JIRA, with a fresh install of the recent nightly 3.2.0 b2228 I was not able to work via NTLM.
It logs me on, but does not give me the right to access the site, although I'm its manager.
When turning NTLM off (in passthru) a manual login allows me to work.
https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALFCOM-3234.
Is the appropriate patch merged to HEAD or just to the Enterprise 3.2 line?

The patch was merged to HEAD and should be in the build you tried. I've reopened both the enterprise and community Jiras so that they get investigated.

Thanks for your immediate reaction   Smiley Happy  !

Just for the record, Windows 7 with Office 2007 shows the same behaviour.

If there are new findings, I'd be glad to contribute with testing scenarios on my side.

Because the Sharepoint integration is left a little unusable for us at the moment, I'm interested if there is new development on this topic, or a priority set.

The bug has been assigned to me. I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Hello, we have the same trouble. Can not use Sharepoint-Protocoll with NTLM-Authentication (for SSO).
Any Solutions yet?

Hello,

there is some significant progress being made on this issue: https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ETHREEOH-2534
It seems, like it's somewhat a protocol issue, and therefore only in part solveable by Alfresco.

I'm curious, if the mentioned fixes are merged to the nightly builds (which are from september at the moment), already?

Yes, we have a fix that should mean it now works with NTLM v2 for alfrescoNtlm and NTLM v1 for passthru, just as per CIFS and web SSO.

Currently HEAD is in a critial phase and is being stabilized for a 'special' release (watch out for announcements).

So I expect the fix will get merged in shortly afterwards in the next week or so and we'll close the community JIRA.
