configure Start Timer

Hi All

I am new to Activiti Designer , I have the next problem

I have process will start on selected date, but this date is entered by actor in previous process ,  my question is how i configure timer start event ( time date field ) correctly  ?

Use a variable and reference it like ${theVar}
