Comunity edition to paper mail?

Hi,

Woul'd you recomend comunity edition to manage paper mail getting in and going out a mid size company? Doing things like numbering and dating paper documents or capturing documents in association with is record/metadata?

Hi,
Alfresco is suited quite well for this, I would say. You will need a scanning service, AFAIK Kofax has been used for that quite successfully. Some french bank does several thousand checks per week with this approach.  The problem will be more of an organizatinal problem then one of using Alfresco or another ECMS.

And while you are at it, see to it to integrate central email inboxes and a fax2mail gateway as well "Unified communication" is calling.
