Hi,

I am really new to CMIS and I am looking to integrate  Alfresco and Documentum using CMIS,using java based SOAP(wsdl2Java)  but I am unable to ascertain the following (any help appreciated and please excuse if anything sounds too amateurish):

1) I downloaded and installed alfresco community version 3.2r, can I work with CMIS from that and use that as my test repository and connect?
2) I cound not find the wsdl and other files that I can extract to Java files and make soap based calls in my application, where do I find and download these from?
3) Is there any tutorial/link that can help me get up to speed here? I found a useful one on ATOM but none on SOAP thus far?

Looking forward to your answers…
Thanks,
Prasanna

I suggest using the latest HEAD, or cmis.alfresco.com for testing purposes as these support CMIS 1.0, the final version of the spec.

When you have installed Alfresco, you can access the WSDL from:

http://[host]:[port]/alfresco/service/cmis/index.html

I also suggest looking at Apache Chemistry / OpenCMIS, which hides all the SOAP stuff for you behind a nice clean CMIS Java API.

David probably meant this:
http://[host]:[port]/alfresco/service/cmis
Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot David and Piergiorgio!

I am going to look into the Chemistry project too, but it seems I have to have svn in order to be able to get the entire source code in one go, also I found this link in the CMIS specs
https://sharepoint.partners.extranet.microsoft.com/sites/CMIS/review/Specification/

but this requires a username and password, so I do not have access to the wsdls yet, any help appreciated.
