Clarification regarding log message

Hi All,

When I check-in documents using the Java code, I get the following message in the console

- Not indexed: No transformation:

What does this message mean?
If it means the contents are not being indexed, please let me know how to turn on the indexing?

Is this message has something to do with the mime type of the content?
Does passing a ByteArrayInputStream object to a cm:content node creates a problem?
