CIFS WAN access

Hi everyone!

I was able to configure CIFS on Alfresco and it's working. The problem is, it's only working when you are in the same network as where the Alfresco machine is but when you try to access it in a different network, it won't work anymore.

Can someone help me how to enable the WAN CIFS access? I've opened ports 137-139 and 445 in our router and port forwarded it to the Alfresco server but I still can't access it from a different network.

Please please someone answer my question.  :cry: Is it possible to have a CIFS access to Alfresco from an outside network? Or is CIFS for local access only?  :?:  :?:  :?:

yes VPN is working fine for CIFS access.

To use it just MAP A NETWORK DRIVE
\\alfrescoIP\alfresco
e.g.
\\192.168.1.5\alfresco
