CIFS read-only folder not working in 1.1

I installed Alfresco 1.1 today, with CIFS support on Windows.
Almost everything works well accessing with Explorer: the user-unreadable folders are not displayed, as in the Web Client, but all the viewable folders are writable, indipendently from the repository setting (that the web client respect).

Is this a known bug?
