CIFS Protocol: error copying file or folder

Hi all,

I am working with the enterprise version of alfresco and am having the following problem.
Alfresco is installed on my laptop in default configurations. The repository has been mapped as a drive.
Adding files via the cifs protocol (copy paste, drag and drop) to an alfresco folder within the repository generates the following error:

Cannot copy <file name>:access denied

Make sure disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

Note saying that I login as admin, so there is no shortage of privilages.
Any help is appreciated

Thanks in advance,
yusuf

Hi Yusuf,
does the user, you used to map the network drive, have write access to the folder inside alfresco ?

What authentication mode are you using?

I fount that when I switched to NTLM pass through authentication all these types of errors went away.  This was a pain to set up but was worth it.  CIFS has been running smooth since for many users.
