CIFS interface slows down / out of heap space

Hi,

The CIFS interface is rather slow.

I have the impression that whenever Alfresco is required to do something that goes against its security principles, the CIFS interface slowly runs out of memory. I cannot remember having the same phenomenon in version 1.0 (which might be consistent with the observation that it has something to do with security issues).

In any case, during the pilot test that we have been doing, I had to restart the server a number of times.

Can anyone else report similar behaviour?

Some lines from the logfile that might be related to what I just reported:

Can anyone tell me what a duplicate child association is?

To be more precise, the error message listed in the previous post is generated when I move a document from the "Private" space into a "Check Out" space that has the following rules:

- Check out content to "Work Space" (Any items)
- Move to "Private" (Any items)

What's wrong here?

Can you try the settings here:

it should significantly improve performance! Particularly of CIFS as that uses more temporary memory than most interfaces.

The duplicate child association warning normally informs that two items with the same name have been created under the same folder…?
