CIFS and version control ?

Hey,

I was wondering if it would be possible to manage your files by CIFS and have version control enabled (i'd imagine - replacing a file on cifs would at next version) ?

I was looking on wiki and forums and couldn't find anything.

This works for me. Any time I hit "Save" on a text document that I opened through CIFS, the version number increases (which I verified through the web client). You just need to make sure the file you're working with is versionable.

Make a rule for a particular space in Alfresco, for all item, set aspect versionable. Set the rule as incoming. I tested it and it works at my side too.
