Changing the name of spaces to 'folders'

Hi all, is there any way we can easily change the term "spaces" in Alfresco to "folders" ? Thanks.

Hi,

Since "space" is very commonly used in the gui you will have to change a lot of labels. I had a look in the webclient.properties

http://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-open-mirror/alfresco/HEAD/root/projects/web-client/config/alf...

If you do a search you will have hundreds of matches for "space" in just this property file. Then there are others as well. You can always grep through the property-file and change it, but keep in mind that when you upgrade Alfresco all will revert to space again.

Thanks Erik, I'll take a look at this later. My main worry is that there are parts of the Alfresco implementation that have been missed that would mean the only way to change the name of the space is to do some "Alfresco code level" changing or alteration of a JSF file.

So Erik's solution worked, in the messages folder of Alfresco there's a file called webclient.properties which contains all the "text" in Alfresco. So I edited this, however it didn't work. There is another file called webclient_en_US.properties that is identical to webclient.properties, only it's probably used when the English language setting is active. So I edited this file and it worked.
