Changed Admin password - Now Share won't authenticate

Hi,

I successfully installed Alfresco Labs 3b last night on a Windows 2003 server (Will deploy Linux next).  After I completed the installation, I logged into the share site using admin for the user and admin for the password.  Everything worked great, so I logged into the Alfresco portal and changed the Admin password.  Also reconfigured the port to 8081 instead of the 8080 configured by default.

The problem is that I can no longer log into the share site (http://localmachine:8081/share).  I changed the password back to admin in Alfresco but that didn't do anything.  I get a "Failed to login" error.

Has anybody come across this issue before?  Maybe I am missing a step or something but I can't find anything in the Alfresco part that relates to the share site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Something like this happened to me and the only solution I've found is to change the port to 8080

Hope it helps

Did you update/override the endpoint mappings in webscript-framework-config.xml?

Thanks MikeH that worked for me.

Why don't you update the Howto change the alfresco port?

Anyway thank you.

Thank you as well,  the one thing I noticed is that it takes a while to be able to log into the share portal after I restart Alfresco.

In all three webscript-framework-config.xml files?

Why update the .xml files directly?  Aren't these values supposed to be configured in some .properties file?

/opt/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/share/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/webscript-framework-config.xml
/opt/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/studio/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/webscript-framework-config.xml
/opt/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/webscript-framework-config.xml

Alfresco and Webstudio don't seem to need this change in the .xml to work… only in repository.properties
In /opt/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/repository.properties
