Change tomcat port and domain name

Hello guys,

First of all, sorry about my bad english,

Second, I tried many ways to change tomcat port to 80 instead 8080, but nothing that I tried really works at all.

So, I decided install Alfresco again and I chose the port 80 on instalation and problem solved (almost).

Now I decided to configure my DNS to point to my tomcat instalation, everything seems right but when I try to upload a file in Share, it fails.
But when I do the upload in Share using the IP adress, it works.

For example:
http://www.mydomain.com/share - upload fails
187.xxx.xxx.xxx/share - uploal works

I have no idea why it's happening….
So if somebody knows what I can do, i'll be very thankfull

Did you also change alfresco.host in alfresco-global.properties ?

Hey Chris thanks for reply!

Well, I did the changes in alfresco-global.properties:

web.application.context.url=http://www.mydomain.com:80/alfresco

is it right?

But where is alfresco.host and how can I fix it? I can't found it.

Thanks a lot!

Ah, sorry - my bad, just noticed you're using a different version of Alfresco than I am.  Smiley Surprisedops:

I'm not familiar with your version I'm afraid. Did you try change the web.application.context anyway? Did it work for you?

No problem… I should tell you about the Alfresco version i'm using. Community 3.4d.

I changed the web.application.context and didnt work.

I dont know how to solve this problem, because it makes no sense.
My domain is just a alias to my IP.
