Hello,

I am attempting to install Labs 3B. When I run the configuration wizard, I get the following error: cannot execute binary file. I have changed the permissions to rwx for all.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello,

I've got a question about the the CMIS-implementation Alfresco-Labs-3b-Linux-x86-Install:
For what linux-distribution(s) is the binary-file?

Cheers!

No, no 🙂 A 117,7 MB file is not a batch-script.

I installed a package what can compile code, but maybe that's not enough. (I'm using Ubuntu and installed "build-essential")

Cheers!
Daniel

I was getting this error too, and getting frustrated, especially as I'd previously installed and then uninstalled Alfresco Community 3.4.d.  Solution was stupidly simple and probably shows my lack of Linux knowledge, couldn't get the install wizard to launch until:

#cd /directoryWhere/bin/Was
#./alfresco.bin

and it worked.

I am a beginner to Alfresco.. I am trying to install the alfresco-community-4.0 in Fedora Linux using the bin file alfresco-community-4.0.d-installer-linux-x64.bin

But installation is not working I am getting the error as bash: ./alfresco-community-4.0.d-installer-linux-x64.bin: cannot execute binary file

I have changed the permission on the file to make it executable.. Not sure what is the problem…?

Can any one shed some light on this Issue Please..??

The Issue was with the download file. It did not download the complete file… and
My machine is 32Bit Linux Fedora16 so I had to download the 3.4.d CE 32bit .bin file.. I am now able to Install.
