Cannot edit a document even if I have role for doing it

A user has loaded a document into his user homepage and assigned me the role "editor" for it. Then he send me two URLs copied from the document-details page: the download link and the document details page link.

If I use the download link, the document is downloaded as expected. If I request the document details page, it opens (I can see the preview) but actions are missing and the following message appears: "Requested item cannot be displayed as it is no longer available".

The alfresco log reports that access is denied and I have no permissions for executing this operations. Tested even assigning more permssions on the document (collaborator, coordinator) but the result does not change.

Same problem here.

A possible workaround is to give permissions at a folder level instead of document.
For example: User Home > user > shared
And place the document inside the "shared" folder.

Then the document details page should not display that error when sharing the link.
