Can't get Active Driectory to sync users and groups

I'm using ntlm for authentication and need to synchronize my users with Active Directory.  When I use the following ldap-authentication-context.xml file:

Hi,

Assuming you're using version 1.4, in your ldapPeopleExportSource_Users remove the defaultHomeFolder property and add the following after the attributeMapping property:

The mechanism for setting/creating home folders for people has been improved for 1.4.

In the LDAP import you can specify a default home folder provider to use (no longer a default home folder). This is just a bean name.

From the LDAP import remove the defaultHomeFolder setting as described and add the alternative suggested. This will create a new, empty home space for every user - if it does not exist. There are a few more built in providers (to use guest and company home spaces) and the ability to add your own. Each user imported from LDAP can have their home space set or created via a named provider (just map an attribute from the LDAP object to the person cm:homeFolderProvider property.) For example, you could create home spaces from a template.

I changed the

CIFS will not authenticate over LDAP. It needs the MD4 password hash to do NTLM, which is not normally available. You can confgure CIFS to go direct to your AD server using Kerberos. See the wiki.
