Can't clear candidate users

I'm playing around with the possibilities for assigning user tasks. My context is a small process I deployed in the demo explorer.
Designer version 5.12.0 on Eclipse 4.2 on Ubuntu 13.04.

Once I fill out the candidate users for the user task, I can't remove the value using the designer. Every time I go back to the properties, the value reappears. I have to remove the attribute in the xml to get rid of the value.

Any ideas?

That sure sounds like a bug - but it's something that people use all the time I would think - so it's strange we haven't encountered it yet.

Could you create a Jira with a description how to reproduce?
