Can't access the RM Console! Access denied!

Hello everyone,

I've "installed" the DoD 5015 AMP (for Records Management) using the MMT with the following commands :

java -jar ./bin/alfresco-mmt.jar install ./amps/alfresco-dod5015.amp ./tomcat/webapps/alfresco.war
and
java -jar ./bin/alfresco-mmt.jar install ./amps/alfresco-dod5015-share.amp ./tomcat/webapps/share.war

Everything is fine here, I have the RM dashlet in Share. I've also created a new RM DoD-5015 site.

Still using the admin account, I can't access the RM tools. As far as I understand, it's because my account "admin" is not a member of the RM Admins group, isn't it?

BUT, no groups were created by the RM DoD module… Should I create these groups manually in the Explorer interface?

Any help is appreciated,
Thank you very much!

It may be unclear, so I'll try again.

I'm having trouble accessing the Records Management Console.

In the documentation, we can read this :
If you see the following message in the Management Console, Access Denied - additional permissions are required to access this component, you must add your user account to the Records Management Records Manager group.

But there is no "Records Management Records Manager" group! What should I do to be able to access this RM console?

If you go to the Users admin console, find the admin user, click edit and search for "record" groups, do you find it then?

Thanks,
Mike

Hello MikeH,

I've just installed a newer version of Alfresco Community (3.4a), in which the RM module is installed by default.  I've created the RM site, and loaded the test data successfully.  Now, I can see all the RM-related groups !

I guess the cause of my problem was the error in loading the test data which seems to create the RM groups.

Cheers anyway!
