Calling a java class

Hi all,

as I am relatively new to Alfresco this question might be a stupid one. But at the moment I don't have an idea how it is possible or which solution will be the best to call a Java class right after a file is uploaded in a specific space. Should I use a business rule or which way would an expert do it? Thanks in advance!

Yes either a rule or a policy.    What will swing the decision is whether it is for a few spaces only or for all content of a certain type.
