CallActivity and passing parameters

Maybe a newbe question. How do you add parameters to be passed to and from a Call Activity? In the Activiti User Guide it states that you can add extensionElements with activiti:in in and out tags within it. In the designer there in no place to add these parameters. If I edit the BPMN2.0 XML directly, the values are erased the next time I update the diagram. Am I doing something wrong or are in/out parameters not yet supported in the designer yet?

Here is their example:
<callActivity id="callSubProcess" calledElement="checkCreditProcess" >
  <extensionElements>
          <activiti:in source="someVariableInMainProcess" target="nameOfVariableInSubProcess" />
          <activitiut source="someVariableInSubProcss" target="nameOfVariableInMainProcess" />
  </extensionElements>
</callActivity>

In the Activiti Designer this is not yet supported.
But this is certainly on our to do list for the April or May release.
