Firefox is a supported browser.  You can our support matrix here:

http://www.alfresco.com/services/support/stacks/2.0/

If you have an issue with Firefox with 2.0.1E and are on subscription, please open a support case.  If you are a non-subscribing customer, we have an updated Community release, 2.1 Community RC1, available for use.  I'd encourage re-testing on that.

As an addition to your list of supported plattforms, servers, browser and DBs:

I have been testing the following on OSX 10.4 (Intel Mac)

JBoss 4.0.5
Alfresco 2.1
HSQL

Firefox 2
Safari 2.0.4

They all work very well, except for Safari:
1. Dashboard rendering has one little flaw (in the CSS styling), really minor
2. WCM adding Webforms (select XSD) does not recognize the root element
(works fine in Firefox!)

But while giving input for webforms, the labels/titles(name,date) are not displaying in FireFox whereas it is displays the textfield,dropdown….. i have used the example article.xsd/article.xsl.

In windows2000, i didn't get even the textfields/dropdown, the page is blank, even i tried by refreshing the page….still it's blank in firefox. Im using alfrescocommunity 2.1.0.R1.

Anyone knows when the new version will be released(with all the bugs fixed, particularly the Deploy to and editor issues)??

The shelf is a little too wide in Safari 3. Besides that Alfresco 2.x seems to work fine. Maybe this is only a small adjustment in the CSS?

Guys:

Be cautious if using Safari - we do not test and certify, and so issues may lurk (we really should support it).

Before using our web client with Safari, make sure you test your web forms, particularly the file-picker widget.  These are likely to be the place where you'll have issues with Safari.

If you find a bug and want to contribute back, that would be appreciated!  Just open a JIRA ticket and attach your fix.
