Broken Links in Workflow Forms

I've been getting this message "The item cannot be found. Either it has been removed or it has never existed." every time I (or anyone else involved in a workflow) attempts to view a document that a workflow has been initiated on when clicking on the link found in the workflow task details form.

Have any other community members stumbled upon this issue?

Hello,

I've been facing a look-a-like issue but not when playing on workflows.

The reason is that the node is malformed. The following explanation may seem weird but, this is how we resolved it and how it can occure :
- it can occure when there is a problem with the thumbnail creation on the document
- to avoid it, we had (as administrator's rights) to update the document (simple metadata update) or upload a new version on it, then the other users (none administrator users) could see the document back.

Do you have any trace in your log? (when this occures to us, we had an exception thrown, something like "permission's problems or errors")

good luck

I'll look into that because I had actually had problems with the openoffice conversion. I resolved that by uninstalling libreoffice and re-installing openoffice.

I was also thinking that it maybe it was because the documents in the workflow were outside of the 'documentLibrary' root node that is created by default with a new site, so I migrated everything under that root and the problem went away.

Thanks for the suggestions!
