BpmnModel and mxGraph

I've seen that there is BpmnAutoLayout which converts a BPMN model to a mxGraph (jGraph) visualization.

Is there also the opposite, i. e. code that converts the modified mxGraph back to a BpmnModel? Is documentation available about using mxGraph and where can I find it?

As i know there isn't a reverse process (mxGraph -> BpmnModel).
could you provide some more details, why do you need it?

I'd like to make a model editor, my current approch is using Java Swing since the other process (BpmnModel -> mxGraph) is already available.

No, we don't have the reverse. The use case for Activiti is limited.
