Benchmarks . experience for very large scale installations

We're looking at CMS alternatives for a very large scale content management system. Initial estimates are 850M+ documents and perhaps 1-2,000 concurrent users. I'd appreciate any pointers the community has to 1) largest production Alfresco installations you're aware of, and 2) any benchmarking information available.

Old (Unisys) benchmarks point to ability to maintain 100M documents quite easily - but don't address access times or concurrent user scalability. Anything more up to date would be appreciated.

A repository of that volume (number of documents) would be in the upper percentile in terms of number of similarly-sized repositories. In terms of number of users it would be on the small side. We are working on a billion object benchmark, but I don't have specific timing to offer on when it will be released.

Hi Jeff

Any news on this? We have a large potential client with the same needs. Could you point to a reference?

Thanks and kind regards,
Morten
