Hello,

We changed the main server PC and are trying to get back the alfresco to work as it was before, but even with the same files the program is not working, if you try to reinstall over the same folder it's not allowed and if you install then overwrite it with the old folder the Tomcat and SQL server doesnt work anymore.

i would like to know if someone knows what it must be done to recover all the files from a previews alfresco from other PC, at the same versioin of the software of course.

What did you actually change?    You can perhaps do a binary replace of a PC with a utility like acronis.    That should work.

But to install on a different PC,  you probably need to follow the standard back-up and restore process for alfresco.

You can run from just a tape restore, but you would need to update any configuration files that have different paths or hostname.   And if you are running as a service then you would need to create the new services on the new P.C.

Thanks for the reply.

O tried to follow the backup and restore from alfresco wiki   (https://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Backup_and_Restore) , but even when i restore the root.dir the repository does not return with the files, there is some way to acess the repository and the files keep there so i can save it manually ? and then hard restore one by one if necessary ?
