back up and restore from 1.4 Preview to 1.4 Stable Release

Hi there,

I am currently using 1.4 Preview and would like to have the data and metadata migrated to 1.4 stable release when it comes out.  Would the steps described in http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Backup_and_Restore work for this situation?

Hi

May be, but there's no guarantees.  That's why we explicitly said there was no upgrade from the Previews.

I'd be hopeful it would work, but that's all.

Hi there,

We are currently using the 1.4 RC community edition.  Is there another official 1.4 release coming up?  If so, and we do not use the official release, would it be hard to upgrade later on to a different version (say 1.5) from 1.4 RC?  Would the upgrade procedures cater to RC releases?
