There was a bunch of comments around this topic but in fact I was not able to find a clear answer on this question: How to avoid creating user homes during LDAP import ?

Hi

In your ldap-authentication-context.xml,
try to put "companyHomeFolderProvider" instead of "personalHomeFolderProvider"

<entry key="cm:homeFolderProvider">
    <value>companyHomeFolderProvider</value>
</entry>
