Avatars/thumbnails broken in share

Disclaimer: I'm using HEAD version (although my last updates were 2-3 weeks ago)

I'm having the same problem as this https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ETHREEOH-2282 , however, the problem is expanded to Profile Pictures in share.  Whenever as user tries to set a profile picture, it's never works and users either see the words "Avatar" OR they get the broken image icon that the browser supplies.

It's been fixed in enterprise version, any update/timeline as when it'll get pushed to head?

And once this is fixed, is there a way to tell thumbnail service to go back and generate thumbnails for all the documents?  The users that tried to upload a pic for their profile, will they have to do it again?

Does it matter that I've installed Alfresco without the WCM components (using the Windows installer)?

OK just reinstalled Alfresco afresh (haha) with nothing but default options - but the problem is there from the very start.

I really hope this will get solved, if the system has no previews, there is small chance my company will want to use it… Would be a pity too, I like Alfresco…

Checked out 3.3 from subversion yesterday and still same problem.  Can't see an avatar in share, though it exists when looking in the webclient.  Documents uploaded to not get a thumbnail.

I am still getting this issue in  Alfresco 3.2r enterprise.
On linux machine.

While edit any user profile, I upload photo and when I see in admin panel user list, it shows me broken image.
Any resolution for this ??

Currently it is fixed on my server.

I have configured openOffice and ImageMagick and now it is working..
