Authentication with end-user credentials?

Hi,

I've a Java based front-end web application that uses Alfresco 3.2 content repository via the Web Services API.
End-users authenticate to the front-end application and I'd like to be able to execute the repository with end-user credentials
to preserve a content item audit trail.

Is this supported by Alfresco?

Which of those is suitable for your situation depends on how your end users authenticate to your application.
