I am done with installation of Alfresco using mysql...but gives authentication failed error while trying to login.

Can you provide any more information, log or console output? Details about your configuration would also be helpful.

Please be aware that the failure to login into the Share UI (/share) could also mean the Repository application (/alfresco) failed to start correctly. For this reason the log / console output is essential to help you.

Hi Pratiksha,

If repo is not able to start, there might be multiple reasons. Make sure that you have placed mysql-connector-java-5.1.39-bin.jar or any other version of mysql connector jar file (if you are using MySQL or appropriate database connector library file) at tomcat\lib and one empty database with the name 'alfresco' or other name  you have given during installation, has to be present in mysql.
