Assistance Panel

I'm having an issue where users can not remove the Assistance Panel from their user dashboard in 4.0c.

They click the button to remove the panel, acknowledge the action, but it stays on the screen.

Has anyone sene this before?

… still having the same issue. In addition, when customizing a user's dashboard, the currently installed components do not show up in the display area. This makes it impossible to remove dashboard components.

I'm kind of at a loss as to where to start troubleshooting it.

In addition to the above, when I try to customize the dashboard, it behaves very similarly to the issue found here:

I have looked at the user names to be sure they weren't using any special characters and there are no user names with odd chars.

I have exactly the same issues.
I have tried several installation, on different machines - every time the same issue.
Does anybody know how to fix it?

Have you tried this with 4.0.d?  Does this issue remain in that version?

I haven't tried 4.0.d yet. I'm still on Rev C.

Hi Jason,

You could disable it altogether: presets.xml - get rid of the block that has 'dynamic-welcome' in both the sites and users portions of the xml
