Archiving in alfresco

Hi all,

First of all, I would appreciate it if you have any links to ressources that address archiving with Alfresco in General.

Do you know if I can define an archiving policy in Alfresco? for instance, I want to archive that kind of files each 1 year, the other kind of files each 2 years….

Once archived, how can I retreive a document?

Archiving is a term that means different things to different groups of people.  What do you mean by "Archived". 

Alfresco's new RM implementation due September has the DOD's interpretation of archiving you may like to look at that.

I have read this document but still can not make a lot of sense from it.
Can I define an archiving policy related to the metadata asscociated with the document?
For example, when this document reaches his endlife cycle, then archive it.
