API for running from specified task

Hi

I'm using activiti 6.0.0.Beta2 version
I have a flow or process with task1 task2, task3, task4,………    Is there any api which is helps to starts from sepecified task. say from task3  onwards   ?
I have gone through api's in the activiti 6.0.0.Beta2 version.  but could not find anything
Is it possible in activiti.. ?
