AMP for webforms

Can you use amp to package up webforms when you want to move them to another environment.

Are there any gotchas in using an amp for webform migration.  For example, are updates to existing webforms supported (for a webform that already exists called news can you use an amp to import an update to thenews webform).

If this is not the way to migrate webforms between environments, how should you do it.

Regards

Brian

It would probably make more sense to migrate Web Forms using ACP files (http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Export_and_Import) rather than AMP files.  ACP files are intended for content (and Web Forms are stored in the repository as content), while AMP files are intended for code.

One caveat is that ACP files cannot capture Web Project information (see https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ENH-155), so the associations between a Web Form and any Web Projects will not be transferred as part of the ACP file.  The workaround is to manually reassociate the Web Forms with the Web Projects in the target environment.

Cheers,
Peter

Thanks Peter.

A few questions:

Can you copy an acp with webforms over existing webforms with the same name in the target you are importing the forms to.  ie Update existing webforms usign acp.)
How do you reassociate content with the updated webforms.

Many Thanks
