Alternative in Share for WCM in Alfresco 3.4 Community

I am currently using Alfresco 3.4 Community Edition.

I tried to use the File System Transfer Receiver to write files from Alfresco to my File System but I keep getting the following error:

02310393 Error executing transfer - 02310391 transfer_service.incompatible_versions‏‍

After researching I have the impression that the FSTR is only compatible with Alfresco 4.0 or more recent versions. <strong>Is this true?</strong>

<strong>Are there any alternatives that will allow me to export files to my file system with Alfresco 3.4 that are compatible with Share?</strong>

The FSTR is officially only compatible with the same major version of alfresco (service packs don't count).
