I am trying to get my company to go with Alfresco over Joomla. IT is already sold on alfresco, however, Marketing needs to sign off on it as well. (Because they are going to be using it the most)
I know very little about Joomla. Does anyone have any tips/facts/points that I could use to convince Marketing that Alfresco is better?
Alfresco is a no brainer in this case. Joomla is just not for intranets in my opinion. At least not in our situation. We needed something to hold all of our documents / images / videos / etc in an easily searchable and browsable library. Docman for Joomla can do this but it is just not as robust. The other issue with Joomla is how it handles permissions. I believe there are some hacks for this but I preferred something built into a platform that would handle our many groups for permissions.
