Alfresco Virtual Server Not Working

Hi,
I try to preview a sample website, but it keeps loading and no content is shown.

I have started the virtual server, but I believe there is something wrong with the virtual server.

I can't find any useful information regarding how to configure the virtual server. Below is what appears on the cmd window when I started the virtual server:

INFO: Registering beans for JMX exposure on startup
5-Feb-2010 9:13:32 PM org.alfresco.catalina.host.AVMHost init
SEVERE: Authentication error <may be transient> : 01051143 Failed to authenticate

After this message, it just keeps showing the message "INFO: Registering beans for JMX exposure on startup" once a while. I am wondering what could cause this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Have you changed the "admin" password for alfresco and not told the VS about it?

Oh, yes, I did change the admin password. How do I tell the Virtual server about it?

I already found the answer for how to change the password in VS, Thanks for you replying.

In case any one has the same problem as I do, here is the solution link:

Hi All,

I have deployed alfresco 3.3 community on Jboss Application server, RHEL OS and Mysql Database.

My virtual tomcat is running on the same physical server as Alfresco on port 8180 and it shows the default tomcat page.

I have configured my alfresco-virtserver.properties to point it to my  IP address instead of the loop back so that I can access the "Preview Website" feature from any machine.
alfresco.virtserver.domain=192-168-10-49.ip.alfrescodemo.net

Going further, I have also created a sample website using webforms. When I try the Preview feature, it picks up the loopback address in the url and not the IP address as indicated in the virt.properties file.

I have restarted the virtual server and also jboss server on which alfresco is deployed. However the 192.XX Ip address is not reflected in the preview URL.

A sample URL is pasted for your reference:
http://admin.shabbir.www--sandbox.127-0-0-1.ip.alfrescodemo.net:8180/

I am able to ping admin.shabbir.www–sandbox.127-0-0-1.ip.alfrescodemo.net. However no luck with the preview feature yet.
Can anyone please help.
