Alfresco Versioning

Hello everybody,

I'm investigating alfresco versioning features, and i have to decide which store to use…
If i've understood there are two ways: ADM (the default)  and AVM that allows directory versioning, branching and diff calculation..

My doubts are:
Does both stores a file for each version ? Or they store deltas like svn..
Where the informations of versions are stored ? Inside the database ? Or in a filesystem like svn FSFS ?

Thnx

Version information is stored in the database.

Content is stored on the filesystem.

While there are no asset level deltas there is only one file per version regardless of how many sandboxes it appears in.

Ok,

So if there are for example 3 versions of a document (1.0,1.1,1.2), it is stored inside the contentstore 3 times ?

It is possible to compare two different versions of a document ?
In a simple document management usecase do you suggest ADM versioning or AVM ?

Thnx
