Alfresco Share Preview : þÿ ?

Hi,

I have uploaded a word document with VBA content (because it is a protected document with macro - ActiveX) but when i want to preview the document, i have this characters "þÿ" on each text area that i have created.

Where the problem comes from ? encoding ? others ?

This preview problem seems come from Open Office because it is ooo which generate the preview.

Do you get the same characters if you open the document directly with OpenOffice..? If so, there's not much we can do.

No i don't have this characters when i open the document with open office.

This characters come from only with the preview

OK, so then follow the same procedure we do for generating previews…

- From OpenOffice, save as PDF
- Then use the pdf2swf command line to convert to Flash

That should indicate where the problem is occurring.

I have an error when i try to save as pdf : General input/output error

I think that the problem is that this document is an office document with VBA code and open office doesn't recognize this VBA code from office.
