Alfresco Share outbound e-mail invitation from user

Have the following issue: a registered Share user with a valid e-mail is trying to send invitations to other users to join his Alfresco Share site. The E-mail notifications are sent OK, showing the inviting user name BUT the e-mail 'from' field is still showing the defined in alfresco-global.properties default outbound 'from' e-mail address and NOT the inviting user e-mail  . How to troubleshoot/fix this?..

How to troubleshoot - either by turning on debug logging or using the Java Debugger.

It may also be your email system that is insisting or substituting the the From address to be the same as the account used to connect to the external server.

Thanks, will try to debug. I am using a gmail account to send e-mail notifications, could be it s a gmail issue.
