Hi,

Please forgive me for being a complete newbie to this, but does Alfresco Share have the same features as the Alfresco Web Content Management?

I don't see where it indicates what features it has in relation to WCM, if its a sub-set of this or has the whole lot?

Thanks, Philip

Hi,
Alfresco Share is an Alfresco client (webapp based on Alfresco SURF Framework) for collaborative document management.
It is nothing about WCM. But of course you can add some new compoentents to achieve some WCM-Features.
But you take Share more as a webapp which you can manage & deploy via Alfresco WCM features.
Cheers, Jan

If you are interested in WCM , a good tutorial is available in the wiki for configuring SURF and WCM – http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Surf_Platform_-_Deployment_Configurations
Another very good example for building a sample SURF site is available http://www.benh.co.uk/alfresco/surf-part-1-getting-started/

Hi, Thanks.

The reason I asked is that the UI for the Alfresco Share is very nice, I like it a lot more than the UI of the web content management.
So I hoped that it had WCM inside this share thingy.
