Alfresco restart still required after redefining model?

Hello,

In older versions (2.1) any modification to the Alfresco content model (defining a new content type, or a new aspect, etc.) required a stop and restart of the Alfresco server.

Is it still necessary in 2.2 or 3.0?

It is still required for 2.2, but not 3.0 if you choose to use Dynamic Models … refer to: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Dynamic_Models
