Has anyone been able to install Alfresco on SBS 2008??

When I install Alfresco, it tells me port 8080 is being used. However a check with Netstat shows me that port 8080 is free.
I have tried port 8888 instead, but get nothing when browsing to share or explorer.

Can anyone confirm whether they have successfuly installed Alfresco on SBS 2008??

Thanks,

Damien

I am using Community version if that helps.

A simple yes or no answer would be great, as I dont think I should continue bashing my head against the brick wall that alfresco is.

Thanks.

In theory it should work - please post the alfresco.log file to make it easier to diagnose the problem.

Thanks,
Mike

Hello @ all,

I've successfully installed the current version (33g on Win-XP-32) when sitting on the machine but I have the same problem when installing via RDP (Remote Desktop from W7-64 to WXP32).
The installation routine is complaining that the port 8080 isn't available. So I used the (unused) 8090 and the installation succeeded.
After installing, the <server>:8090/alfresco interface works fine but the <server>:8090/share shows the login page only. No login possible.
I'm also shure that the port actually is available.

Strange, this.

Do you know any problem like this since this post was the only similar, I found?

Best regards,
G. Nipp
